Course
Hole Overview
Hole 1 • 154 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Bob Cupp, Atlanta, GA
Hole 1 Description
This first hole plays down the tree line of the course to a raised green. Grass bunkers protect the green on the left and right front. Club up to be sure you reach the putting surface; otherwise, you’ll face an uphill chip onto the green.
Hole 2 • 92 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Dan Maples, Pinehurst, NC
Hole 2 Description
A memorable short hole that sees a significant drop in elevation. An accurate shot from the tee is needed to hit the green; otherwise, the trickiness around the green awaits. For those who don’t like the short wedge shot, use a putter and try your luck putting it down the hill and onto the green.
Hole 3 • 147 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Tom Clark | Brian Ault, Kensington, MD
Hole 3 Description
A shot-makers hole that rewards a left-to-right ball flight. Favor the left side as trouble awaits down the right of the fairway and green.
Hole 4 • 158 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Dennis Griffiths, Braselton, GA
Hole 4 Description
An uphill hole that protects a hidden putting surface. With a large bunker protecting the left side of the green, the golfer should favor the right side and add 5 yards to the approach shot.
Hole 5 • 174 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Clyde Johnston, Hilton Head, SC
Hole 5 Description
A slight downhill shot off the tee to a tricky putting surface. Beware the back right pin position, as any mishit shot can lead to a very difficult up and down. We recommend aiming for the middle of this green.
Hole 6 • 161 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Jay Morrish, Flower Mound, TX
Hole 6 Description
Hole 7 • 175 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Robert Muir Graves, Walnut Creek, CA
Hole 7 Description
This hole gives you an excellent opportunity to aim straight at the pin. Two bunkers on either side protect the front of the green, so the golfer should aim for the pin and swing away.
Hole 8 • 157 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Pete & Alice Dye, Delray Beach, FL
Hole 8 Description
Hole 8 is the most recognizable designed hole by renowned course architect Pete Dye. A false front and vertical railroad ties protect the front of the green. Ensure you get the ball to the putting surface. Otherwise, it will roll off this challenging green.
Hole 9 • 152 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Michael Hurdzan, Columbus, OH
Hole 9 Description
A slight downhill hole with a demanding green. The turtle-shell shape of the green demands an accurate tee shot. Otherwise, you’re hoping for a good up and down.
Hole 10 • 101 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Jeff Lawrence, Greenville, SC
Hole 10 Description
It’s the shortest hole on the course, but by no means easy. A precise wedge shot is needed as trouble awaits all around the green. A good tee shot will give you one of your best opportunities on the course for a birdie.
Hole 11 • 144 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: Jay Haas, Greenville, SC
Hole 11 Description
Designed by famed PGA Tour Professional Jay Haas, this hole leads back to the restaurant. A false front protects the front of the raised green, so be sure to reach the putting surface otherwise, you’ll have a tricky uphill chip shot.
Hole 12 • 118 YARDS
Golf Course Architect: John Lafoy, Greenville, SC
Hole 12 Description
The final hole is home to the deepest and most challenging bunker in South Carolina. Modeled after the famous “Devil’s A**hole” bunker at Pine Valley Golf Club, it goes without saying: do your best to avoid this hazard. Aim to the middle of the green and err on the side of being extended. Otherwise, you might need to open your lob wedge to get out of the sand.
